N.C. Cooperative Extension of Nash, Edgecombe, and Harnett counties are teaming up once again to bring this introduction to starting a home-based food business to you.

NC Homemade is a 3 day virtual (online) program that helps budding food entrepreneurs with learning what it takes to open a home based food business. Participants in this class learn about

• North Carolina food laws
• How to creat business and marketing plans
• Food safety & handling best practices
• Hear from food business & product specialist
• Along with information & resources to help get started or advance your home food business!

The class is scheduled for February 21 - 23, 2023 and it will be a virtual (online) class. The class will meet from 1 -3 pm each day. The registration fee is $50. Register online here.  Payment must be recived by February 14, 2023 in order to secure your spot in the class. Payments should be made payable to Edgecombe Extension Fund and can be dropped off at the Edgecombe Extension office in Tarboro or mailed to the office at
