Edgecombe County and Nash County Extension will be hosting multiple dates for peanut growers to come out for pod blasting workshops. These dates range from early September through late September. All peanut growers are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities to help determine peanut maturity and gauge digging times across multiple fields. Pod blasting workshops will be held at the East Carolina Agricultural and Education Center in Rocky Mount and the Nash County Agriculture Center. Dates listed include:

• September 13th from 8am-5pm: 1006 Eastern Ave. Nashville, NC 27856
• September 17th from 8am-5pm: 1175 Kingsboro Rd. Rocky Mount, NC 27801
• September 20th from 2pm-5pm:1006 Eastern Ave. Nashville, NC 27856
• September 24th from 8am-11am: 1175 Kingsboro Rd. Rocky Mount, NC 27801
