Nash County purchased these properties for future economic development. For the time being, Nash County Commissioners have determined the best use of this property is to be for agricultural crop production.
Details about the properties…
- The properties were in cultivation for 2022-2023.
- The lease term for this property will be January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025.
- The property may be used only for crop production and harvest.
- Neither subleasing nor reassigning use of this property to others is permitted.
- Please avoid trespassing on neighboring properties when inspecting this property.
- The farmer(s) who lease the property must provide a certificate of insurance for at least $1 million general public liability insurance covering claims for personal injury, loss of life and property damage. The farmer will also be required to have Workers Compensation insurance as required by North Carolina law.
- The bid is subject to County Commissioner approval at the regular January 2024 meeting.
