2023 "Show it Forward" Scholarship Program

2023 Edgecombe 4-H Show it Forward Scholarship Application

To be turned in to the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Edgecombe County center by 5 p.m. on December 1, 2022 or December 15, 2022!

This scholarship program is designed to support Edgecombe County participants in the Eastern Carolina 4-H Livestock Show and Sale.  Recipients of this scholarship will receive $500, which can be used to purchase an animal, feed, equipment, etc.  Each scholarship recipient will be expected to raise a minimum of $500 in contributions at the time of the sale to reimburse the scholarship program and "Show it Forward" for next year's recipients.  Any contributions collected above $500 will be for the recipient to keep!

In addition, "Show it Forward" recipients will also be expected to:

• Show their project animal at the 2023 Eastern Carolina 4-H Livestock Show and Sale on April 4-5, 2023.
• Attend monthly check-in with their Extension agents and fellow scholarship recipients.

To be eligible for the "Show it Forward" Scholarship, participants must be between the ages of 8-18 as of January 1, 2023, and be both enrolled in 4-H Online and registered for the 2023 Eastern Carolina 4-H Livestock Show and Sale.

All applications are due to the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Edgecombe County office (address: 201 Saint Andrew Street, Tarboro, NC 27886) by 5 p.m. by the following dates:

December 1st- 1st Round

December 15th- 2nd Round

This scholarship program is limited to 10 participants. Participants will be voted on and selected by the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Edgecombe County office and recipients will be notified soon after the application deadline.
