Following the 2024 EPA update to applicator certification procedures, NCDA&CS is now requiring pesticide applicators to watch a one hour video on pesticide certification & training standards updates. This video offers an easy and practical alternative to retesting, and we want to ensure you have the necessary information to help you remain compliant with these new regulations.
What Happens if I Miss the Deadline? If an applicator misses the deadline to complete this mandatory training, they must retake their certification exam(s), regardless of other credits earned. Please note that the deadline for the C&T training matches the standard recertification credit deadline: June 30th for commercial applicators and September 30th for private applicators in the year their certification expires. It is vital that those whose expiring certification credit deadline is 6/30/26 or 9/30/26 view the video and submit the verification form by their respective date.
- Who is affected? All private and commercial applicators who obtained their certification prior to July 1, 2025, are affected.
- What is the requirement? Before their current certification expires, all pesticide applicators must view the 1-hour video and submit a verification form.
- Where can I watch this video? Local extension offices throughout the state will be showing this video in combination with required pesticide trainings. You can access all dates being offered on the NCDA pesticide course finder portal. The title of this course is "NCDA&CS Required Pesticide Certification & Training Standards Update" and it will provide you an hour of all pesticide credits except for P(arial) or V(safety).
