4-H Clover and farm animals image

Youth who are enrolled in the 4-H livestock program have the opportunity to learn about agriculture and livestock production as they develop an appreciation for the livestock industry. The experience of youth owning and working with animals; being responsible for their care, health, and growth; and exhibiting them in a competitive environment is a tremendous character-building process. The main objectives are to teach life skills and help participants become productive citizens of our society.

The Hertford-Northampton Livestock Show and Sale is a three county show consisting of Hertford, Northampton and Bertie counties. Youth that participate  show lambs, goats, hogs, steers and heifers. This is a one day event that will be held on June 12, 2024 starting with the show at 1:00 p.m. followed by the sale at 6:30 p.m.

The committee planning meetings are held at 6 p.m. the first Monday of every month at the Murfree Center, 201 East Broad Street, in Murfreesboro. Educational workshops for youth are held monthly during the meetings.

Check out all the important information you need here and come join us for this exciting program!
